Rwandan Coffee

£7.99 £5.99

100 grams Rwandan Coffee. Rwandan coffee highlights the lifestyle of a nation. Only around 25% of Rwanda’s 11 million people live in an urban setting. Many instead live in the country, a large percentage of whom work in coffee. Our very own Rwandan Coffee is of excellent quality and has tastes likened to Kenyan Coffees.

It boasts deep notes of berry, citrus fruits, and chocolate with refined acidity. A medium roasted, full-bodied brew consisting of a wonderfully unique flavour, it is no real wonder Rwandan Coffee Beans are one of our most popular choices.

All of our coffees are roasted with the latest state-of-the-art Neuhaus Neotec fluidised air-bed system, which primarily uses convection heat transfer to roast the coffee beans. The results are unbelievable and Rwandan Coffee is one of our best examples.

Unlike many other Single Origin Coffees, Rwandan Coffee is seldom mass-produced. Rwanda is known as the land of a thousand hills with many of its coffee farmers producing at varying elevations from high above the slopes to deep within the valleys.

Most Rwandan coffee cherries of high quality are picked by hand, with each tree visited three to four times during the season. About 95% of coffee plants in Rwanda are of the high-quality Arabica varietal, Bourbon. Also cultivated are relatively small amounts of the Catuai and Caturra varietals
